How have you found the program so far?

I loved it! It helps me to focus on what has to be done and I just do it!

What noticeable results have you seen so far in your health & body?

I can wear jeans size 27! I was wearing that size when I was a teenager and I’m now 46 year’s old.

What motivated you to join our program?

I wanted to be in a better shape because when I played tennis, I couldn’t run fast enough to always hit the ball. I also wanted to lose weight because I had 8 pounds to lose in order to reach a healthy weight.

Before you joined, what other things did you do to try to lose weight, get fit etc?

I spent 3 years working 50 hours per week so I didn’t focus on my health. I tried to walk and do yoga but I couldn’t lose weight and be in a better shape.

How has working with me benefited you?

I followed the instructions about workout and nutrition and it worked. My arms, my legs are firm so I can feel the muscles and I don’t remember when I could do that.

What would you say to someone who may be sitting on the fence about joining our program?

Stop making excuses: do exercises and eat better! If it worked for me, it will work for you!

I had my 2nd child 6mths ago and had put on 25kg’s (55lb). I only have 12months maternity and desperately needed to lose the weight to be able to fit my uniform to go back to work. Well that was only one part of it. I was also sick and tired of still wearing my maternity clothes because I couldn’t fit anything else.

I didn’t hesitate to join your program after reading the testimonials from your happy customers. I was going for the odd walk and bike ride. I was trying to eat healthier. But obviously it was not enough.

Wow where do I start with the results I have achieved on your program.

In one word Amazing! I not only fit my uniform but I had to get a size smaller!!! People I haven’t seen in a couple of months can’t believe how much I’ve shrunk and how fast. I’m so much more happier and confident. It’s like having a new wardrobe again as I can fit in to all my clothes I wore 2 summers ago.

I’m just so grateful that I bit the bullet and bought your programme online. Now just saying sorry I’m not in the same clothes but the bra I had on previous is just soooo big I threw it out and the jeans I was wearing were my maternity ones. Basically I got those results in just over 2 months not in the 90 days, so that is pretty impressive.

I really loved how you gave us time to absorb the information you gave us and allowed us to get mentally ready for what was coming.

The program has been designed for home use and for people who are unfit. I am relatively ok so I pushed a little harder than your suggested work out. I would suggest maybe creating a gym workout plan as well for those people who are working not working out at home.

What I enjoy most is how interactive it is. It helps me stay accountable. I also like that you give suggested meal plans and workout plans. It takes the guess work out of it.

What I also found amazing was how you well timed your blogs are. The day I was feeling down you sent out the information about focusing on feeling good versus only looking at results. I really enjoy waking up to an email from you.

Hi Nalisha,

In 3 months, I lost one inch at the waist and 0.5 inch at thighs so I’m really proud of myselft. I also lost 5 pounds and I feel muscles instead of fat when I touch my arms and legs.

I have tried every diet under the sun, and spent lots of money doing this.  Not a diet – a health and wellness program.

I like it that you only needed a Swiss ball and weights to start. I was devastated at first ….  EXERCISE.

Every other diet I’ve done I’ve never got to the exercise part, as I failed on the diet and never got to the exercise so I was very freaked out to start the exercise first.

However, after 4 weeks I was addicted to the exercise, and couldn’t believe how great I felt.  I exercised in the morning before work, and felt energetic all day.

By the time it came to the diet part of the program I was going well, not showing on the scales as weight loss, but in feeling GOOD and just knowing that I was on the road to a healthier lifestyle. I have made many changes to my life that I haven’t even really noticed – almond milk, green tea, VEGETABLES, fish, water, eating breakfast, grilling…. tiny things that have just added up to a whole lot.

Best of all has been my alcohol consumption.  Used to drink every night. Now 2 nights… Never thought I could do it!!!  Thought I was an AA case. But no… just needed goals and a healthier focus.  I feel so confident about my future. That I will reach healthy weight goal, and continue to enjoy a healthy lifestyle – The Able Tasman walk, Queen Charlotte walk, Mahana Walk, Biking, etc.

I would like to thank you for this program. I have been very strict during the weeks, but weekend’s chubby chick influenced me a little bit… Eek! I managed to go to the gym 5 days a week and feel brilliant!

Unfortunately I haven’t lost any weight or centimeters but my skin looks a lot better and my body is starting to get some shape in certain parts especially my legs and abs which motivates me to continue with this type of lifestyle. I also have a more regular metabolism, which I am very excited about!

I quite enjoyed the exercises you had in your programs.

The three greatest achievements for me have been regaining self esteem and self confidence; regaining a level of fitness and  loosing one and a half stone in weight.

Three continuous aims to reinvigorate my goals in future: Remember I am a skinny chick; I am in control of my own destiny and I will not punish myself anymore

Throughout my adult life I tried and failed with numerous other weight-loss projects, so like the proverbial light at the end of a long dark tunnel, this program offered fresh hope for me.

I have gained a new lease of life fitness, self-respect and motivation.

I enjoyed the self-directed approach and not having the humiliation of attending classes, especially when I slipped up with the program. Personally, I found the ‘drip-feed’ (pardon the pun!) approach of providing necessary information and guidance in weekly installments very effective.

As I see it, any winning combination may perhaps need tweaking and/or updating occasionally, but no dramatic overhaul is necessary when on a winning streak.

My greatest accomplishment over the last seven weeks has been to start exercising again and to vary my food choices, which has made me realize just how much I enjoy fruit and vegetables.

The major changes I have experienced in my body have been that I am sleeping better, breathing easier and have far more energy than I had before. Another added bonus is that my clothes are starting to feel a little more comfortable and loose.

I think the three new steps I can implement are to buy a pair of jeans I have had my eye on a size or two smaller so as to have an incentive to lose more weight and tone up some more. Another is when I have done a full week of exercise to book a facial as a reward.

Lastly I would like to take a photo of me now half way through this journey so as to witness the change over the next few weeks.

Here is my feedback:

What motivated you to join this program?

I had already lost about a stone in weight through healthy eating and cardio exercise but wanted to lose another half a stone and stay motivated to keep losing weight and thought SkinnyChick would help with both those things.

What key things have you gained from doing this program?

Definitely the weights/resistance training information has been key.
I had a fairly good idea about healthy eating and the importance of exercise from my previous weight loss but hadn’t considered the effects of gaining muscle to increase your metabolism etc.

Understanding and participating in that aspect of the training has made a big difference to my weight loss experience – though I’m not much lighter in weight, my body shape is much more toned and defined and it’s much better than just being thinner!

What did you enjoy about this program the most?

As above. Also the way that the program was realistic about days when you don’t want to diet and exercise and how to keep focused but not beat yourself up if you have a day off or a slip up.

How can this program be improved?

As mentioned, I already had a good understanding of the eating side of things, and though I thought the food diary was extremely helpful, as were the articles on nutrition and fiber and portion sizes,

I think for some people who don’t know much about nutrition they need to be ‘told’, especially at the start, what to eat to get the process started, then once they see results they’ll be motivated to educate themselves about their diet and be able to put together plans that suit them.

One other thing I’ve found to be really helpful for me is planning meals in advance for the whole week. That way you can shop in advance, you know what to buy at the supermarket, you don’t end up eating take-away because you don’t have food in the fridge, and you keep on track with a plan much more than deciding on the night each night.

I’m sure that advice was also in your program but it could be emphasized a bit more, keep reminding people that planning is key to good eating!

My greatest accomplishment in the last 7 weeks is that I now eat healthy foods more. I eat fruits and vegetables daily unlike before I started in the program.

I usually don’t stick to a diet program that long…but this program has taught me to be more healthy in terms of watching what I eat.

I feel more energized now when I started to eat more nutritious foods.
I seldom eat fast foods now. Actually I feel guilty when I eat fast foods. But I sometimes eat a little fast food during weekends, but strictly follow my healthy diet during weekdays.
I also noticed that I have lost a little weight (I now have “curves” in my waist), although when I weigh myself it seems that there have just been a few pounds shed.

Greatest accomplishment in the last 7 weeks is doing my exercises just about every day (excluding weekends) and actually looking forward to doing this and also feeling “deprived” if I don’t do “something” physical in the day.

I feel fitter and stronger.  I’m sure I am breathing better.  I will also look for the more physical way of doing something e.g. walking a longer distance rather than taking the car etc.

Reduce my “treats” coz I’ve been so good in a day, doing the exercises earlier coz I run out of time, continuing the program and not just thinking this finishes just coz the program finishes.

I have been overseas on holiday for the last month of the program… Have to get back on to it…and get my mind right…. I did lose 4.8kgs in the first two months.. *Question 1: What motivated you to join our program?

I was tired of being overweight and unhappy. I didn’t feel comfortable in my own body. All my friends who had babies after me had lost all their baby weight …and I didn’t even gain any weight with the pregnancy so I felt really ridiculous.

I googled the program and it sounded perfect because it was holistic. I am not a fan of fad diets and magic pills.

*Question 2: Before you joined, what other things did you do to try to lose weight, get fit etc?

I joined the gym, did Herbalife, WeighWatchers, bought home exercise videos and tried Herbex.

*Question 3: How has working with me benefited you?

I have reprogrammed myself. I have been brought up to feel and think a certain way about food and exercise. I didn’t eat for nutrition…I ate for every other reason. Portion sizes were determined by how hungry I felt. I now enjoy and eat simple foods.

Setting goals and targets that are specific has helped me a lot as well.

My favorite is the weight training. I am so much stronger and fitter. I also did a running program and that has also helped with the weight loss and fitness.

*Question 4: What would you say to someone who may be sitting on the fence about joining our program?*

You have nothing to loose!!! Please try it and stick to it. It’s not like any other program out there.

I think you need to be very clear about who this program is for. This program is for people who do not lead a healthy lifestyle and make excuses not to. This program is not for people like me who already know everything you mention and already do eat in a healthy way and exercise regularly.

So far I’m loving the program, I have my off days but I get right back on track. It really feels like I’m making changes for life. The only suggestion I can make is that I’m vegetarian and with the nutrition side of things it would be great to have more vegetarian/vegan options as it can be quite hard to figure out how to get the best protein without meat and eggs.

I understand that loosing the kilos is not only the main reason for this program, but to maintain good health all the way. What I’ve noticed is I have regained my stamina, I feel more energetic, sleep well and I’ve lost inches around my waist and 2 kilos of my weight.

Maybe the program can include more tips to avoid food cravings. I just love food very much.
